Born from the spirit of festival culture, this kinetic installation has become a beloved icon over the past five years, uniting creators, dreamers, and dancers under its glowing canopy.
Background & Story
The idea began as a vision to capture the magic of bioluminescence—the way cuttlefish shift colors, pulse, and breathe with light. From sketches to steel, inflatables to LEDs, Sepia Lux was designed to feel alive. Each season, it evolves through rebuilds and upgrades, staying true to its essence: an iconic piece that inspires awe and sparks connection.
Build & Design
Crafted through collaboration, Sepia Lux combines sculpture, inflatables, engineering, and immersive light design.
A highly modified off road vehicle chassis anchors the piece, with a purpose built trailer adds to the length and capacity.
Its fully 3d designed, inflatable skin glows from within, creating a shimmering exterior that shifts with the vibe of the night.
A fully programmed LED system breathes life into the structure, morphing with music and movement.
Every addition refines the balance of user interaction, practicality, reliability, and dreamlike beauty.
